Director, Mags Scholes
Mags Scholes directed three short films and one documentary prior to setting up Lemonace Films.
She has over 15 years industry experience primarily as a Sound Recordist and Boom Operator. This has taken her around the world and given her a unique insight into directing and screenwriting.
As a technician she has worked with much of the UK’s leading talent including: Anthony Minghella, Stephen Poliakoff, Simon Beaufoy, Frank Cottrell Boyce and Alan Bennett, affording her a unique insight into screenwriting and directing. She has worked with numerous Oscar, BAFTA, BIFA and RTS nominees from various disciplines.
Previous productions engaged on vary from theatrically released features to popular television series to big name commercials. Credits include “Arabian Nights”, a multi million dollar co production lit by Oscar nominated DP Remi Adefarasin, Alan Bennett’s award winning “Talking Heads 2” and the popular British television series “The Bill”, through to travel programmes and prime time comedy. Companies worked for include Channel 4 Films, BBC Films, Hallmark, Channel 4, BBC, September Films, Discovery Channel, Hatrick, RTE, MTV, MTV Europe and Sony Music.
She has several shorts and features at various stages of development, and when not working can be found riding her motorcycle and sidecar around the English Lake District. |
